New Hartford has a student population of 900. These students are divided into two schools. Father Wilhelm Elementary School (k-6) and Avid Johnson Junior/Senior High School. New Hartford is proud of it's schools.

We are very proud of our students also. Over the past 5 years, 86% of our graduates went on to higher education or the armed services. West South-Central Technical College, Mankato State University, The University of Minnesota, and Winona State University are the favored destinations of our students. Students have also been accepted into the Air Force Academy, Yale, University of Iowa, and University of Wisconsin.
